Will it only work with Modded Vehicles?
The chip will work on both modded as well as stock vehicles. The microprocessor will detect engine characteristics via the OBD port and adjust itself accordingly.
What is Stage 3?
The vehicle performance industry recognizes three tuning stages: Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3. Stage 1 is generally for stock vehicles and provides the smallest gains in performance and power. Stage 2 is generally for slightly modded vehicles and provides average performance and power gains. Stage 3 is generally for highly modded vehicles and provides the best performance and power gains. Our modules are backwards compatible, meaning our Stage 3 module will perform at Stage 3, but will reduce the tune to Stage 2 if needed based on the module’s communication with the vehicle. In this way, it operates within the safe ECU limits set forth by the vehicle manufacturer and ensures it cannot cause vehicle damage.
What if my vehicle is Supercharged or Turbocharged?
We usually do not recommend installation with add-on (aftermarket) Turbo-charged models. There is no issue with FACTORY supercharged or turbocharged models.
What if I already have a Power Programmer or Handheld Tuner installed?
No problem. This module will work with all aftermarket power programmers, tuners and OBD2 modules. However, you must have access to your OBD2 port. The product must be plugged in to your OBD2 port at all times in order to function.
What if I have an Automatic or Manual? Does it matter?
The chip is compatible with both Automatic and Manual transmissions.
Will this void my warranty?
No! This module does not cause any damage, unlike most cheap competitors. This product will not void your warranty. The vehicle manufacturer cannot void your vehicle warranty due to aftermarket accessories. The module uses soft-patching technology and is completely safe and reversible. It leaves no footprint and cannot be detected once removed from the vehicle.
Can this Damage my engine?
Since our performance chip module only interfaces with the vehicle computer (ECU), it causes your vehicle’s computer to adjust itself to a more optimal fuel mixture and timing curve. This means you are fully protected by the built in safeguards of your computer. These performance chips have been tested over and over and are proven not to affect your vehicle’s engine or electrical system in any way, unlike cheap resistor scam chips.
Will this chip work on my vehicle?
This is a custom programmed chip for one specific vehicle. Please verify compatibility in the fitment chart before purchase. If in doubt, ask us.
Is this a resistor scam?
No. It connects to your OBD2 port. It interfaces with your ECU, it is not a damaging resistor scam chip.
How much gain can I expect?
Gains vary depending on many variables, but typical gains vary anywhere from 10-18HP or more.
What information is needed to program the chip for my vehicle?
We will need the Make, model and year of your vehicle. (Please send this information at the time of checkout). Please ensure your vehicle is listed in the fitment list before ordering.

I recently purchased one of your Sawyer Tuning Stage 3 (ST8PRO) Chip module for my 2016 Dodge Challenger and noticed changes immediately. By the 3rd day of using the difference was undeniable, I was getting better throttle response and it was switching gears very smoothly (I have an automatic transmission). As far as gas mileage I saw an improvement of 1.5 miles more per gallon. I want from 17.2 miles to 18.7 miles per gallon (average seen in two weeks ) even though my Challenger has one of those 5.7L Hemi engines that are very thirsty for gas .
